This workshop targets an audience of pre-skilled technical staff with knowledge of either IBM i architecture or SAP basis architecture. Discuss many aspects from basic SAP-IBM i concepts to installation, operation, Database (DB) management, backup and restore, performance management, and tips for basic trouble shooting. This workshop offers a combination of lectures and hands-on sessions.
This workshop is part of SAPs education curriculum and also part of the certification path for basis consultants.
Audience
This is an intermediate workshop for IBM i database designers, performance analysts, and application developers who are concerned about SQL performance and scalability. It is highly recommended for individuals interested in SQL performance when accessing and using the Db2 for i database server via interfaces such as CLI, ODBC, JDBC or DRDA.
This workshop is also designed for database administrators, database engineers, database consultants and performance analysts working in and around iSeries, System i or Power Systems running IBM i.

Prerequisites
You should complete:
- SAP Application Platform Fundamentals (SAPTEC)
- or have the equivalent knowledge of SAP Fundamentals
You should have working knowledge of at least one operating system. You should also have an understanding of IBM i operating concept and a basic knowledge of relational databases.
